Communications
The communications curriculum provides students a sound base in liberal arts and a theoretical basis of knowledge about human communication in preparation for a baccalaureate program.
Students with the communications degree often pursue careers in broadcasting, public relations, human relations (personnel officer), translating, foreign service (U.N. positions, for example), media specialist (advertising), sports information director and political consultant.
General Education Requirements
Students must complete the college core requirements consisting of 34 credit hours and a minimum of nine additional credits in AS disciplines for an Associate of Science degree or nine additional credits in AA disciplines for an Associate of Arts degree.
