Dawson Community College Theater Department will present a true turn of the century murder mystery entitled: 'Frontier Justice 1898', written by John M. Watkins Ed.D. and directed by Ron Conrad. This play is a unique Glendive historical drama about one of the most fearless officers in the state of Montana-Sheriff Dominick Cavanaugh.
Dawson Community College Gallery 126 is pleased to present Losing Color, paintings by Mika Holtzinger. Mika will be conducting an all day Figure Drawing Workshop on Saturday, November 5th 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (register at http://www.dawson.edu/workshops or call: 377-3396) followed by an artist reception from 5 to 8 p.m. (also, on Sat, Nov 5). As always, everyone is welcome to come meet the artist, enjoy the artwork, conversation, and refreshments. If you can’t make it then, the show will be up until December 16th. Gallery 126 hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m.

CLASS OBJECTIVE
The Dawson Community College Annual 2011 Spring Juried Student Art Show Reception and Awards Presentation, was held on Wednesday, April 27th. Gretchen Bederman, of the Visual Arts Department, announced the Art Scholarship winners for 2011-2012, handed out The People's Choice Award and eleven prizes chosen by this year's judges Helen Beres, President of Dawson County Arts Unlimited - The Gallery, and Bridger Bronze sculptor Pamela Harr.
Celebration of Research and Creativity will be the theme for the DCC Music Department Spring performance Thursday, May 12. The evening will commence at 5 p.m. with a reception sponsored by the Opus Society, featuring student research projects encompassing a wide array of musical topics. The projects will be presented in poster presentation format and students will be available to discuss their research with guests.
On Monday, April 18th at 3:30 p.m. there will be a reception to commemorate the unveiling of three wonderful paintings created by the DCC Art Club to enhance the décor of the Dawson Community College Student Center and Cafeteria. Please join us for viewing, socializing and refreshments. This event is sponsored by the ASB senate.

Dawson Community College is pleased to have the artwork of one of its favorite artists, Michael Meissner, on exhibit for the third time. Please come by the Ullman Center to enjoy his latest imaginative surreal images during regular building hours Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Michael has family roots in eastern Montana that reach back five generations. He was raised in both eastern and western Montana. He currently makes his home in Glendive, Montana, along the Yellowstone river and adjacent to the spectacular and rugged Montana badlands of Makoshika State Park.
