Little did Fleck know that filly would help break her on to rodeo's biggest stage.

After volunteering around 500 hours in the month of October at various events like HarvestFest and Haunted Hollow, Montana Campus Corps is ready to host the 2nd Annual Bucky’s Turkey Trot! Last year, it consisted of a 1 mile run for children, and a 5k/10k run for adults wherein families could either donate canned goods for admission or pay in cash. In this manner, we raised food for the Dawson County Food Bank.

Volleyball players more than just athletes

Volleyball Team 2011

It has been four years since Dawson Community College started a women’s volleyball program. And though the team’s current record of 4-15 fails to impress, it does not tell the whole story.

The team is now made up of mostly new players, as 10 of 14 women joined the team in the beginning of the season. Undersized and out-numbered, they now struggle to find the confidence needed to secure wins.

Still, these athletes consider themselves underdogs, fighting to establish a winning tradition for future Lady Buccaneers.
