On Sunday February 20th, the last home game of the year against the Bottineau Lumberjacks took place. Both DCC basketball teams had beaten the Jacks away but hadn't seen them sense the start of the year.
The women's basketball teams played first and it was a battle right from the beginning. The Lady Bucs trailed most of the game but in the last 8 minutes of the second half the teams were tied. There was 30 seconds left in the game and the score was tied with the Buccaneers having the ball.
DCC basketball teams met their rivals, the Pioneers, for one last opportunity to play this season. The women's game started off tight. Two points for the Lady Bucs were counteracted with two points by the Pioneers.
