Aaron Carroll
About Coach Carroll:
Aaron Carroll became the head coach of the Buccaneer baseball program in the fall of 2011. Coach Carroll has coached collegiate baseball for 18 years. In his time, he has coached at all three levels of the NCAA. Before coming to Dawson, he coached for seven years at Chowan University, an NCAA Division II school, located in Murfreesboro, NC. During that time he amassed more wins than any other coach in program history with 190.
Coach Carroll began his head coaching career at Tennessee Tech University. In his three years at the NCAA Division I institution, he had an 89-82 overall record. This included an Ohio Valley Conference championship and a trip to the NCAA Regional tournament.
While at Chowan University, Coach Carroll lead the Hawks to two NCCAA south region championships and a third and fifth place finish in the NCCAA World Series. In his final year at Chowan, he led the program to a CIAA conference championship and was named Coach of the Year for his efforts. Coach Carroll’s overall career record is 294-248 for a winning percentage of .542.
Carroll has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and a Master of Science degree in Sport Management.
In his spare time, Carroll enjoys pursuing his other passion, hunting.
He is married to, Joni Carroll who teaches at Cohagen Elementary School in Cohagen, MT.
