Meg Mulvena has found a new home with the Dawson Community College Rodeo program for 2013-14. Daughter of Shawn & Sally Mulvena of Rockglen, Saskatchewan, Meg excels at Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping, Barrel Racing, and Team Roping.
"Meg is a decorated cowgirl who exemplifies what it truly means to be a champion." said DCC rodeo coach Kortney Diegel.
Zach Johnson had a strong rodeo, qualifying for the short-go in both the steer wrestling and the tie down roping. Johnson won the short-go in the steer wrestling with a time of 5.4 seconds, placing him second in the average. Johnson finished the tie down roping in 37.1 seconds on two head, good enough for sixth in the average.
Sierra Trusnovec and Candace Chevallier's team roping run of 13.2 seconds made it back to the short-go, where the girls stopped the clock at 16.5 seconds. Trusnovec and Chevallier finished sixth in both the short-go and the average.
