About the Coaches
The DCC coaching staff brings much experience and excitement to their rodeo team. Rod, Kortney, and Paul have all been successful on the rodeo circuit and still actively compete.

Rod Paschke is in his 10th season as the head coach of the DCC Rodeo Team. He competed in college for Casper and at the University of Wyoming-Laramie. Rod has been a qualifier for many years in the Badlands and Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit in Steer Wrestling. This past year, Rod was named the Big Sky Coach of the Year.

Paul Eiker is in his seventh year as an assistant coach. Paul is a major stock contractor for Montana rodeos. He currently competes in Team Roping.

Assistant coach Kortney Diegel is in her fifth year at Dawson and competed collegiately for Dawson Community College and the University of Montana-Western at Dillon.

Rodeo at DCC
DCC competes in the Big Sky Region which consists of seven schools in Montana and one in Wyoming. There are ten rodeos during the year as five in the fall and five in the spring. Many of these rodeos are indoors and out of the harsh elements.

DCC has a very strong reputation in the Region due to its many past individual champions as well as team championships. The reason for all of this success is the many hours spent practicing both timed events and roughstock. Our practice facilities consist of both an outdoor and indoor arena. Practice takes place until the middle of November in the fall and starts back up the first week of February in the spring. There is access to great practice stock year around.

The DCC coaching staff consists of individuals who compete year around as well and can give great hands-on help to athletes to improve their performance.
