Kim Crone
About Coach LeProwse:
LeProwse is entering his 3rd year as the Buccaneer’s Head Softball Coach. Under his leadership the Buccaneer softball team won the 2012 Mon-Dak conference championship with an 11-1 record and him being named Mon-Dak coach of the year. This coming after back to back 2nd place finishes in 2010 and 2011. The 2012 softball team yielded a 26-19 overall record and a 5th place finish in the Region IX tournament. The 2012 Buccaneer softball team also took home the 2012 Sheila R. Worley Sportsmanship award. In his time with the Buccaneer softball program he has coached 3 Region IX All-Region players, and 13 Mon-Dak all conference players and 1 Mon-Dak conference MVP.
The 2012 Lady Bucs finished with a 26-19 record and look to improve on that during the 2013 season. LeProwse has recruited a very talented group for the upcoming season and is excited to see what they can do.
Coach LeProwse resides in Glendive with his wife, of 23 years, Lynette. He has three children Josh, Jessie and Logan. He is also the proud grandfather of his first grandson Ryder.
In addition to his head coaching duties, LeProwse will continue teaching in the Welding Technology program. DCC offers a 1-year Certificate of Applied Science in Welding and also offers a 2-year Associate of Applied Science degree in Welding Technology.
About Assistant Coach Crone:
Kim Crone was born in Cannon Falls, Minnesota and graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 2005. During high school she played with the Cannon Falls Bombers and within the summer league for Northfield High School. During her high school career she achieved a batting avg .209, 18 hits, 10 rbi, and 3 stolen bases.
After high school, she attended Dakota County Technical College where she played softball with the Blue Knights. In 2007, she received her Associates of Science degree in Exercise & Sport Science and went on to St. Catherine University to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Sport Science in Spring of 2010.
She served as catching coach at Cannon Falls High School for grades 7-12, from 2006 to 2010 seasons and assistant varsity and JV coach for 2010
June 2010 Crone moved to Glendive and became the Assistant Women's Softball Coach at Dawson Community in 2010.
