About Coach Marble
John Marble is entering his fourth year as the Buccaneer women’s volleyball head coach. Coach Marble is looking to improve on a solid year and move into contention for a league title.
“My coaching has evolved to a more process oriented approach that focuses on building relationships,” says Marble. “We set goals and work inside an environment of high expectations for myself and my players.” John is a highly motivated, approachable coach. His previous coaching responsibilities range from youth club teams in Idaho, Washington, and Montana to NCAA Division I volleyball. John has served as a skills camp coach at Washington State University and was an assistant coach at the University of Idaho, where he helped lead the Lady Vandals to their first ever conference title.
As a 1997 graduate of the University of Idaho, Marble attained a BS in Civil Engineering with a minor in History. With his engineering education and experience, John will also prove to be a valuable asset to the expanding Engineering Technology program at DCC.
When asked what inspired him to move to eastern Montana to pursue teaching and coaching, Coach Marble responded that it was “the opportunity to return to a small community to live and work.”
Coach Marble is assisted by Jean Hagler and Pat Cunningham this year.
