The Dawson Community College Art Department is proud to present the outstanding art works of the talented and creative student artists of Dawson Community College. Forty-nine students will be exhibiting their artwork in the Dawson Community College Annual 2011 Spring Juried Student Art Show.

Dawson Community College is pleased to have the artwork of one of its favorite artists, Michael Meissner, on exhibit for the third time. Please come by the Ullman Center to enjoy his latest imaginative surreal images during regular building hours Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Michael has family roots in eastern Montana that reach back five generations. He was raised in both eastern and western Montana. He currently makes his home in Glendive, Montana, along the Yellowstone river and adjacent to the spectacular and rugged Montana badlands of Makoshika State Park.
Participants will be working with artist and teacher Walter Piehl creating artwork using still life with a western motif exploring a variety of techniques that will emphasize his expressionistic approach to painting. Participants will be encouraged to experiment with mixed media to discover the creative potential of the expressionistic style.

As many of you know, there are numerous students at Dawson Community College who are bursting with artistic potential. Well, now you have the opportunity to see some of their artwork. The DCC Art Club’s members as well as other students with a passion for the arts are contributing some of their work to a show at The DCAU Gallery downtown Glendive.
A Mixed Media Painting Workshop with artist Walter Piehl Saturday takes place April 16th 9 – 12, 1 – 4 and Sunday, April 17th 10 - 12, 1 – 3 Preregister by April 11th.

Dawson Community College Gallery 126 is pleased to present the hand pulled fine art prints of Linda Whitney. Linda Whitney’s exhibit New Intaglios will be open to the public from Monday, February 28th through Friday, April 8th. Gallery 126 hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm, and evenings Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6:30 to 9 pm. Located in room 126 computer lab next to the library. Dawson Community College Gallery 126 is pleased to present the paintings of Trish Stevenson. Eastern Montana horse lovers and rodeo fans will especially enjoy her images of ranch country. Trish's exhibit Through the Dust - Colors of the West will be open to the public Monday, January 10th through Friday, February 25th. On Friday, January 28th from 5 to 8 pm there will be an Artist Reception for Trish. As always, everyone is welcome to come enjoy the artwork, conversation, and refreshments.
