DCC releases 2014 Spring Semester Honors List

Spring 2014 Graduates

Sixty-three DCC students have received recognition for outstanding scholastic achievement. They have been named to the Dawson Community College Spring 2014 Honors list by the registrar.

Research and Creativity Celebration

Celebration of Research and Creativity is the theme for the Dawson Community College Music Department Thursday, May 1. The evening will commence at 5 pm in the Toepke Center lobby with a reception highlighting student research projects and performances by DCC music students.  Presenters will be on tap to discuss their projects, ranging from Opera Education through Cartoons to The Use of Secondary Dominants in Barbershop Quartets.

The Dawson Community College Art Department is proud to present the outstanding art works of the talented and creative student artists of Dawson Community College. Forty-eight students will be exhibiting their artwork in the Dawson Community College 8th Annual Spring 2014 Juried Student Art Show.

Spring 2014 Play

Cast Members

Dawson Community College Theatre Department presented “Over the River and through the Woods” Friday & Saturday, March 7 & 8. The play, directed by Ron Conrad, was funny, yet very touching.

The play was presented in the DCC Auditorium, performed by the following talented cast members: Kyle Quale, Suela Cela, Alissa O’Dea, Joy Magalsky, Manni Ratliff, and Nathan Weidner.

Lady Buccaneers Finish in Three Way Tie for Top Spot

Women's Basketball Team 2013-2014

Lady Buccaneers finish regular season play with a 12-4 conference record and a 23-6 overall record. The three way tie between Western Wyoming and Casper led to a tie breaker and a coin flip putting Western Wyoming on the top spot and Casper in the #2 spot. The regional tourney will be held in Rock Springs, WY at Western Wyoming Community College, March 1-5, 2014. Dawson Lady Buccaneers will go into the tourney ranked #3 in the North Sub Region and start the tourney with Trinidad State Junior College on Sunday, March 2nd at 5pm.

Spring View Day

Dawson Community College will be hosting their Spring View Day on March 3, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. This will be an exciting opportunity for high school students to experience a college class, learn about academic programs and student services, quiz a panel of current DCC students, meet with faculty, staff and/or coaches, connect with future students, have lunch at our college cafeteria, and enter for the 2014 TUITION DRAWING. The winner will be announced at the View Day luncheon reception. (Drawing applies for Fall and Spring tuition at the current in-state value)
