Mr. Chad Knudson

As a newspaperman and publisher of the Glendive Ranger-Review, Chad had the unique opportunity to observe conditions at DCC first-hand, attending every board meeting for a year before deciding to run for trustee in 2013. He pledged to help reform the college and was elected in the first contested race in several years.

Chad was born and raised a fifth-generation Glendivian. He cut his teeth in business working at the family store before graduating from DCHS in 1998. Credits earned at DCC during high school and over summer terms allowed him to graduate early and summa cum laude from Valparaiso University of Indiana in just three years. There he earned a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in marketing, international business and global studies with an honors distinction in the humanities.

Chad has worked in business development and management in large corporations and small business ventures: From Bismarck to Denver, Chicago and Glendive. He has experienced both successes and failures, all of which have contributed to life-long learning.

He is a past recipient of MDU Resources Group's Einstein Award for Innovation, is a sub-committee chairman for Leadership Glendive, and vice-president of the Revive Glendive organization.

Chad is also an avid traveller, having spent significant time studying language and culture in Spain and travelling extensively in Europe, South America and the United States for both business and pleasure. His favorite getaway is to the ski slopes. He is proud that every journey has
eventually led him home.

Ms. Kathleen Fritsch

The Fritsch family came to Glendive about 100 years ago. Ms. Fritsch went to elementary and High School in Glendive. She received her Bachelor's degree from Dickinson, her Master's degree from NDSU, and her Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University.

Ms. Fritsch taught three years in northern Minnesota and 27 years at DCC. She also practiced law for nine years. She found that she had a passion for learning and teaching, and not so much for legal work.

Ms. Fritsch retired in 2011. She discovered she still had strong feelings for DCC and ran for the Board. There were two openings and two candidates so there was no election.

Ms. Fritsch would like to encourage anyone with an interest in DCC to run for the Board.
