Follow these steps:
Remember, DCC’s financial aid priority deadline is March 1

Step 1: Complete Federal tax return(s).

Step 2: Get a PIN (personal identification number) enabling you to “sign” your online FAFSA. Go to www.pin.ed.gov and request your PIN. If you are a dependent, at least one parent must have a PIN, too.

Step 3: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1st as possible, and before March 1st. Apply online at www.fafsa.gov. List DCC’s Federal Title IV school code (002529) so we receive the results.

Step 4: Review your Student Aid Report (SAR) 2 to 3 days after you submit your online FAFSA. If necessary, make changes or corrections and mail it to the federal processor at the address listed on the SAR.

Step 5: Respond to requests for additional information from DCC’s Financial Aid Office.

Step 6: Receive your award offer from DCC. Sign the award and return it to the DCC Financial Aid Office. Contact the DCC Financial Aid Office 406-377-9410 or 800 821 8320 if you have any questions about the aid you have been offered.
