Summary: We are looking for a dependable, self-driven person with a passion for the health and wellness of others and a desire to work in the sleep apnea industry. The Wellness Specialist will be responsible to implement the DAG wellness program in physician offices.

Duties: The Wellness Specialist will be responsible to implement the DAG wellness program in physician offices, including identifying and educating patients, and facilitating tests for sleep apnea.

Duties: The Wellness Specialist will be responsible to implement the DAG wellness program in physician offices, including identifying and educating patients, and facilitating tests for sleep apnea.
• Pre-screen/pre-qualify patients by reviewing their health history, physical characteristics and treatment history for signs and symptoms of sleep apnea
• Coordinating and verifying insurance benefits for patients
• After initial screening, inform patients whether they should seek treatment
• Coordinate with physician whether patients will move forward with treatment, and if so, have physician sign prescriptions for HSTs (home sleep tests)
• Check out equipment, set up appointments, track patient progress, keep required records, manage regulatory compliance issues, etc.
• Responsible for assuring patient confidentiality and adhering to all HIPPA regulations and patient dignity guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 
Qualifications: • Basic proficiency with internet tools/settings, Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook,( email) • Good communication skills to converse with medical staff and patients • Self-starter, problem solver, friendly, outgoing • Ability to learn and understand medical terminology and to properly communicate it • Train medical staff on company protocol and mission • Health promotion degree (or any health or public relations bachelor degree) preferred but not required • Background in the sleep apnea industry desirable though not required • Desire to work in the health care industry specifically with sleep apnea • Valid driver’s license • Dependable and honest • Outgoing and be able to work with all types of people • Professionalism in working with the medical community • Ability to reach quotas and apply company model • An advocate for the DAG program
