The administration at Dawson Community College is proud to announce that Tracey Clingingsmith has been hired as the new head coach of the Women’s Buccaneer Basketball program.
Tracey Clingingsmith is currently living in Bozeman Montana but grew up in Glendive and is an alumnus of DCC. “To be able to coach at Dawson is my dream job” said Clingingsmith. She began her coaching career while attending DCC and ranged from coaching Glendive elementary soccer to Washington Middle School basketball and track and field. While attending Dickinson State University, she was a member of the basketball and track and field teams. There she continued to remain involved as a referee to middle and high school basketball and as a volunteer to Dickinson State University and Dawson Community College sport camps.
Tracey assisted Andy Yosinoff of Emmanuel College for three seasons. Coach Yosinoff is a 600 game winner in Division III Basketball and was recently inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame. He has imparted valuable coaching and recruiting strategies to Tracey as she assisted him. “I offered discipline and fundamentals to Coach Yosinoff’s enthusiasm and energy” said Clingingsmith. “One of my greatest joys is recruiting which I have already begun for the Buccaneer team. I am looking for talented, willing, competitive players.”
Coach Clingingsmith can be contacted through the college web site at www.dawson.edu. Click on Women’s Basketball and submit a Prospective Player Questionnaire.
