Cody Buller, Dawson Community College alumnus, competed in his hometown rodeo in Glendive on Thursday then traveled to Baker to ride in the Fallon County Fair PRCA Rodeo. Buller finished third in the bull riding at the Dawson County Fair PRCA Rodeo with a score of 71 and followed that ride up with a score of 85 to win the bull riding in Baker.
Rayna Rice of Sidney again placed in the barrel racing. At the Dawson County rodeo, Rice had a time of 17.73, which was good enough to put her in fifth place.
Cole Burman of Glendive also placed in the bull riding in Baker. Burman scored a 73 and finished in sixth.
Beau Franzen continues to have a good summer. Franzen tied for third at the Fallon County rodeo with a time of 4.8 in the steer wrestling.
Barry Blair of Ekalaka won the tie-down roping in Baker. Blair clocked a 9.6 and earned a check of $881.60 for his efforts.
Buller earned over $2,200 at Glendive and Baker and continues to lead the Montana PRCA Pro Rodeo Circuit standings in the bull riding. Buller has earnings of over $13,000 in 2009. Burman is now in third in the bullriding standings. His total winnings for 2009 is just over $8,600.
