Tony Robbins

The Opus Society’s "Brown Bag Lunch Essentials" are open events for students, faculty, staff, and members of the community to explore important topics presented by high profile industry leaders. This no-host luncheon series was created to engage and inspire community leaders in discussions on a variety of topics from technology, business, world issues, design, entertainment, science, leadership, and creativity; the essentials for every leader.

A new theme will be presented the last Friday of every month from 12:10-12:50pm in the choir room of the Toepke Center at Dawson Community College.

February 26th - Tony Robbins on Why We Do What We Do and How We Can Do It Better "Tony Robbins makes it his business to know why we do the things we do. The pioneering life coach has spoken to millions of people through his best-selling books and three-day seminars. He discusses the "invisible forces" that motivate everyone's actions."

March 26th - Benjamin Zander on Music and Passion

"Benjamin Zander has two infectious passions: classical music and helping us all realize our untapped love for it -- and by extension, our untapped love for all new possibilities, new experiences, new connections."

April 30th - Elizabeth Gilbert on A Different Way to Think About Creative Genius

"Elizabeth Gilbert muses on the impossible things we expect from artists and geniuses -- and shares the radical idea that, instead of the rare person "being" a genius, all of us "have" a genius. It's a funny, personal, and surprisingly moving talk."
