The MDU Resources Foundation and its member companies, MDU Utilities Group, Knife River Corporation, WBI Holdings, Inc. and MDU Construction Services Group awarded a five thousand dollar grant for improvements to the wellness facilities in the Toepke Center at Dawson Community College.
Grant funds will be presented in April and will mark the beginning of the college’s fund-raising activities for a soft surface on the walking track and up-to-date conditioning equipment. “Cost of resurfacing 4100 square feet of the mezzanine (approximately two lanes) will range between $34,000 to $36,000,” said Athletic Director, Joyce Ayre. The estimated cost of bringing the cardiovascular and weight training equipment up to the proper standards is about $62,000.
Individuals interested in contributing to one area or to the overall project can send a donation, along with a notation of gift preference, to the Dawson College Foundation, Box 421, Glendive, MT 59330
