In the month of June Dawson Community College will offer free GED online study preparation.
General Educational Development(or GED) tests are a group of five subject tests which, when passed, certify that the taker has high school-level academic skills.
The tests were originally created to help veterans after World War II return to civilian life. More than 15 million people have received a GED credential since the program began.
GED online study preparation through DCC builds confidence and gives students the option of studying from home at their own pace. Computers are available in the college library if needed.
Contact Matthew Hauk to sign up. He is available Monday- Friday from 8am-12 on campus in room L110 (located in the college library) or call him at 377-9452.
