The University of Montana’s Montana Repertory Theater proudly presents The Real Legend of Sleepy Hollow, an adaptation for the stage written by Ron Fitzgerald. The play is part of the Rep’s yearly Fall Educational Outreach Tour coming to Glendive on the Dawson Community College campus. The performance is free and will take place at 6:30pm, September 24th in the DCC auditorium.
The fifty-minute production interweaves two of Washington Irving's most famous characters in a hilarious misadventure. “With The Real Legend of Sleepy Hollow we used a variety of comedic styles and conventions” said Director Bobby Gutierrez. “This production is a real departure from the original stories, but we felt our goal was not to retell the tale, but rather to inspire students to think about the great “What If…”
Join Rip Van Winkle and Ichabod Crane as they embark on a crazy, spooky quest to unearth the true story of the Headless Horseman and reclaim both the honor and the bride Ichabod lost years ago.
