The Dawson Community College Lady Buccaneers volleyball team fell to the Casper Thunderbirds in three games on Friday, 9-25, 14-25 and 17-25.
"We struggled to play with the intensity needed to keep up with Casper," DCC head coach John Marble said.
The Lady Bucs registered 20 kills and 20 assists in the match.
Key players for the Lady Bucs included Shelby Swant with 11 assists, Debbie Schendel with five kills, Desiree Schauman who registered 10 digs and Kirby Sabec honing four blocks. Schauman and Schendel each had one ace.
Marble said the Lady Bucs need to score more points on their first swings.
"We must speed up our offense," Marble said.
On Thursday, the Lady Bucs will host the Williston State Tetons in Glendive.
Despite the tough loss, Marble is optimistic about the upcoming game.
"I am excited we have done this much with such a large freshmen class," Marble said.
His team is made up of 14 freshmen and three sophomores.
