Stockman Bank is proud to contribute $5,000 to the Dawson College Foundation for a new walking track surface at Dawson Community College. The cushioned surface for the walking track is to be completed in the spring of 2011. Campus fitness facilities, which include the walking track, are available for community use in the newly constructed Toepke Center at Dawson Community College. The 4100 square foot walking track on the mezzanine is free and open to the public seven days a week. The installation of a shock absorption surface is needed to protect walkers of all ages and fitness levels year-round from joint injuries to hips, backs, and knees.

The Walking Track Project has the added benefit of encouraging regular exercise that can reduce stress and blood pressure, manage weight, and increase strength and stamina while making the college facilities safer and more effective. "We are so grateful that Stockman Bank has helped us push closer to our goal of raising the approximate cost of $36,000 to complete this important project. Stockman continues to be a wonderful example of a corporate partner that strengthens our college and helps us better serve our community," said Sandra Cargill, Executive Director of the Dawson College Foundation.

"We are proud to present $5,000 to Dawson Community College to help support the construction of their new walking track. Contributing to this project is just another way Stockman Bank enjoys supporting DCC and giving back to our local community," comments Keith Robinson, President Stockman Bank Glendive.

This contribution is in addition to the $10,000 donation Stockman Bank made to the foundation in February for a scholarship endowment fund.
