Dawson Community College Board of Trustees are community leaders who desire to provide students with the academic skills needed to transfer to four-year colleges and universities, to enhance skills to be competitive in the rapidly changing job market, and to offer opportunities for continuing education, personal growth and enrichment. As a team, they are fully engaged in providing a future that offers increased higher education opportunities for Dawson County residents.

The Trustees are responsible for:

• Making legal and fiduciary decisions for the college
• Approving the mission, strategic goals, and objectives
• Creating policies to guide the President and Administration in managing the college
• Handling issues that are dictated by law or requested by Administration that affect the entire college
