Dawson Community College Volleyball Coach, John Marble, will host Spring Buccaneer volleyball tryouts Monday March 7th at 2pm in Toepke Center, DCC's newest campus facility. He encourages all high school juniors and seniors to "get in on the fun" and attend this local tryout.
The athletes will be tested for vertical jump, fundamental volleyball skills and will scrimmage alongside three players already signed on. "This is a great opportunity for me to evaluate players from across the region" said Marble "each year players are seen for the first time at tryouts and become Bucs."
Along with Coach Marble's tryouts, DCC will also be hosting a campus View Day for all prospective students. Student athletes and their parents can combine tryouts with View Day if they wish by registering online at www.dawson.edu/future/viewdays. At View Day students attend college classes, learn about academic programs and student services, meet current DCC students, meet with instructors and coaches, eat on us in the cafeteria, and take a tour of the DCC campus. A special Q & A presentation about Financial Aid for parents is also included.
Coach John Marble is in his 3rd year as coach of the Buccaneer squad. He encourages those student athletes, serious about the sport, to come experience the campus and find out about college life.
