Shakayla White Cow has signed her National Letter of Intent to play Women's Basketball for Dawson Community College.
White Cow, a 5’11” forward, will become part of the Lady Bucs in 2013. “Shakayla is a physical player and well suited to the Bucs style of play.” said head coach Tracey Clingingsmith. “She is a quiet leader who is relentless on defense with two All-Conference honors to her credit.”
The Dawson Community College Introduction to Dinosaur Paleontology class and lab will be held July 22-August 2. The maximum enrollment for the class is 20 students. Geoscience instructor Alan Brown is providing a 4 credit class for a great value. A university class like this one would cost double. The Dinosaur Paleontology class has no prerequisite so anyone can register. It is a great opportunity for high school students or anyone to get 4 transferable college credits completed this summer in a fun hands-on environment. Plus the class coming to us.

Dr. Donald Weiss, Associate Dean for the College of Business and Management and the College of Media Arts and Technology at the Kansas City Campus of DeVry University, will be introduced at the first public session on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Yellow-stone River Inn.
Dawson Community College coach, Don Mast announced that Josiah Running Crow, 6'4 Power Foward/Center for the Billings Skyview has signed his National Letter of Intent with DCC.
“Josiah's Best basketball is in front of him”, said coach Mast. “With hard work and dedication he will be an outstanding addition to the team. I’m excited he chose to grow his game and advance his education at DCC”.
Alissa Keeler signed her National Letter of Intent with Lady Bucs softball this week. The Bucs recently won the Region IX Championship under the guidance of Dawson Community College coach Jim LeProwse. Keeler is herself a 3 time Montana class AA first team All - Conference and 3 time first team All-State player.
Gerry Standridge, Dawson Community College head coach, has announced that Taylor Jensen signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball for the Buccaneers during the 2013 season. Jensen, from Lewistown Montana, played OH all four years at Fergus High School for Coach Tara Taylor and was an active member of her track team, competing in sprints and hurdles. In addition to high school volleyball, she also played for the Lewistown Volleyball Club.
A recent Dawson County High School volleyball player has signed to play for the DCC Lady Buccaneers Volleyball team.
Kasey Robson is transferring from a DII collegiate track program and was a multiple sport athlete in high school. "She is a strong all around athlete with excellent court awareness and brings a positive presence to the court. Her experience playing all the front court positions along with her athleticism will give us more offensive options against our opponents," states Coach Standridge.
Jessica Willick, from Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan has recently signed her letter of intent to participate on the DCC Rodeo Team for the 2013-2014 season.
Coach Diegel is happy to announce a new member of the DCC Rodeo team, Emily Peabody who is from Ekalaka, MT. Peabody works the breakaway roping and the goat tying events. She has earned several rodeo honors throughout her high school rodeo career. During the 2012-2013 season, she was the MHSRA District 2 Goat Tying Event Director. In 2013, she was the MHSRA Breakaway Roping Reserve Champion at the Hardin rodeo and the Goat Tying Reserve Champion at the Jordan rodeo.
