Prepare yourself for possibly the most important 5 seconds of your life. Learn how to recognize and avoid dangerous situations, how not to become a victim, and how to fight off an assailant if you have to. Each 2 hour workshop will teach you the skills needed to escape a violent situation and survive. Rape, sexual assault, stalking, murder, don’t be a victim.
Dawson Community College self-defense workshop will be held in the Activity Gym on Campus beginning on February 12th. The workshop will be held on Sundays from 1pm to 3pm and Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 8:30pm for 3 weeks.
This is a hands-on self protection workshop taught by Shawn Miner. Miner was the 2002 light heavy weight mixed martial arts champion in the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. The army competition, called All American Week drew no less than 2,500 participants and in the end Miner was victorious. He has been an instructor for many years in Glendive and around the state. He is skilled in a verity of disciplines including Kick Boxing and is passionate about self defense.
