DCC Softball Sits at 9 and 0

"Dawson Community College Buccaneer softball is sitting at 9 and 0 in the MonDak Conference" said Head Coach Jim LeProwse. DCC recently completed the first half of their MonDak conference schedule with a 6 game series with Bismarck State. The Lady Buccaneers won all 6 games over the past weekend. In Game 1 the Buccaneers won 17-0 in 5 innings and compiled 13 hits. Nicole Miller from Billings, MT, Remick Ramsey from Great Falls, MT, Julia Robinson from Butte, MT and Abby Gordon from Lewistown, MT all had 2 hits a piece. In game 2 the Bucs won 13-0 in five innings. Nicole Miller had 3 hits and Remick Ramsey had 2. Game three saw the Bucs scoring 17 runs on 19 hits and winning by a score of 18-0 in five innings.

Sunday's triple header brought much of the same results for the Buccaneers winning the first game 20-0 in five innings. In this game they score 14 runs on 14 hits including 4 home runs in the first inning. Nicole Miller and Keela Nedens from Billings, MT each hit one and Lauren Binkoski from Glendive, MT hit two home runs in the first inning. Game 2 saw the Lady Bucs win 10-0 in five innings. Abby Gordon hit 2 doubles in this game. Game 3 results were DCC 16 BSC 1. The Buccaneers scored 16 runs on 16 hits. Marissa Cumber from Shepherd, MT hit her first Collegiate home run in this game and had 2 other hits. Elise Murray from Shepherd, MT also had a 3 hit game in this one.  

In other MonDak Conference games the Lady Buccaneers swept a 3 game series from defending conference champions North Dakota College of Sciences (Wahpeton).

Game 3: DCC 9 NDSCS 5

The Buccaneers hit three Grand Slams in these three games one in each game. Game 1 saw Nicole Miller hitting the first one. Remick Ramsey also hit a 3 run shot in this game. In Game 2 Kylee Snapp from Lewistown, MT hit her Grand Slam in the third inning. Julia Robinson also hit a 3 run shot in this game. It was in game 3 that Keela Nedens hit her grand slam in the third inning. Remick Ramsey had a 2 run shot in this game also. The Buccaneers are back in action on Friday April 13th and Saturday the 14th when they take on McCook Community College* in Glendive at 1PM and 11AM.
