Ten women's teams competed this weekend; Ekalaka, Westby, Sidney, Wolf Point, Plentywood, Richey/Lambert, two teams from Glendive and two teams from Beach, ND. Teams played pool play Saturday competing in 3 games a piece.

For 2 years Head Coach Jim LeProwse has been at the helm of Dawson Community College softball. This year LeProwse brings home pride to Eastern Montana as the Lady Buccaneers show their muscle winning the Mon-Dak Conference with an 11-1 record. "There's no doubt that Dawson is on a roll" said LeProwse. "We will definitely be carrying this momentum into our next season."
Dawson Community College Head Coach John Marble will represent ALL DCC sports and academic programs as he travels to Butte (May 25) and Bozeman (May 26) next week.
John is Director of Engineering Technology & Engineering Advising, Instructor & Head Volleyball Coach
He encourages area students and parents to meet with him for a personal college visit.

McKay Hedin out of Logan, UT was named to the All MON-DAK Conference Team and the All Region 9 Team for the Dawson Community College Buccaneers. Hedin finished the season with a .318 batting average. He had 15 doubles and 20 RBI's.
Dawson Community College wrapped up their softball season this past weekend in La Junta Colorado. The Lady Buccaneers finished the regional tournament 1 and 3 with a 5th place finish in the NJCAA Region IX Division I tournament. The team completed the MonDak conference with an 11- 1 record and a first place finish. Their overall record was 20-19 for the season.
Dawson Community College Head Volleyball Coach John Marble was thrilled to learn DCC alumnus Katie Lyons was signed by Illinois Tech Head Volleyball Coach Jacqui Gatt Monday (April 9) to her 2012 recruiting class.
The 71st Commencement exercises will be held May 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Toepke Center at Dawson Community College. Dr. Jim Cargill, President of Dawson Community College, the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff and the Class of 2012 are proud to announce Ryan Sokoloski, Makoshika State Park manager, as the keynote speaker for the 2012 exercises.
After the Commencement exercises, graduates, families and friends are invited to a reception honoring the DCC Class of 2012 which will be hosted by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) in the Toepke foyer.
Dawson Community College is offering a Cake Decorating and Flower Arranging Workshop on Thursday, May 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the DCC Community Room.
The instructor for this hands-on workshop is Debra Caracol-Person, owner of Cake Connection Hawaii, a business offering simple, elegant cakes & floral designs with island flair.
The Dawson Community College Art Department is proud to announce the winners of the Annual 2012 Spring Juried Student Art Show.
At the Artists Reception was held on Wednesday, May 2 at 1 p.m. Eight awards were presented by this year's jurors, Kortney Diegel and Jacob Kilgore. In addition the People's Choice Award and the Datebook Cover Award were bestowed.
