The Dawson Community College admissions department is hosting two campus view days this year. The first view day is available on Monday, November 14th. All high school seniors, juniors, and parents of prospective students are invited to join us on-campus in Glendive to experience a day in the life of a DCC student.
Dawson Community College Theater Department will present a true turn of the century murder mystery entitled: 'Frontier Justice 1898', written by John M. Watkins Ed.D. and directed by Ron Conrad. This play is a unique Glendive historical drama about one of the most fearless officers in the state of Montana-Sheriff Dominick Cavanaugh.

Dawson Community College Buccaneers Head Softball Coach, Jim LeProwse, is pleased to announce that Jamie Aiken and Bryce Mitchell have given verbal commitments for the upcoming 2012-2013 season. Both are from Roy Utah.
This season, Aiken pitched and played third base for the Roy High School Royals. Touted as calm under pressure with a strong desire to win by her Utah high school coach, Mandy Koford, Jamie will be a positive force for the Lady Bucs.
DCC will host the District 2C Volleyball Championships on October 27-29. Nine area teams will be vying for the right to participate in the Eastern C Divisional Tournament in Sidney on November 3-5. Four teams will advance from the District Championship to the Divisional Championship and a chance to earn a spot in the State Tournament.
Dawson Community College Gallery 126 is pleased to present Losing Color, paintings by Mika Holtzinger. Mika will be conducting an all day Figure Drawing Workshop on Saturday, November 5th 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (register at http://www.dawson.edu/workshops or call: 377-3396) followed by an artist reception from 5 to 8 p.m. (also, on Sat, Nov 5). As always, everyone is welcome to come meet the artist, enjoy the artwork, conversation, and refreshments. If you can’t make it then, the show will be up until December 16th. After volunteering around 500 hours in the month of October at various events like HarvestFest and Haunted Hollow, Montana Campus Corps is ready to host the 2nd Annual Bucky’s Turkey Trot! Last year, it consisted of a 1 mile run for children, and a 5k/10k run for adults wherein families could either donate canned goods for admission or pay in cash. In this manner, we raised food for the Dawson County Food Bank.
AARP’s (American Association of Retired Persons) Defensive Driving Course will once again offer a comprehensive driver retraining course geared to the specific needs of older motorists.
The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation's first and largest course for drivers age 50 and older. The program has helped millions of drivers protect their safety on today's roads.
After hosting farmer's markets throughout the summer and up until last Saturday morning, Farm-to-Table is ready to celebrate the completion of a fruitful season with Harvest Fest on Sunday, October 16th at Lloyd Square Park. Founded by two AmeriCorps VISTA members a couple years ago, Harvest Fest applauds the use of local foods in our community. In addition to the traditional kids' games and festival activities, Anne McHale, Glendive's current Farm-to-Table AmeriCorps VISTA member, ensured that the use of local foods will be a primary focus of the day.
Dawson Community College and Sheridan College will meet for the annual Dig Pink,breast cancer awareness game October 25th at 7pm in Toepke Center.
The Dig Pink game was originally planned for October 8th against Casper but was rescheduled for later this month against Sheridan College.
