Dawson Community College Head Coach Jim LeProwse is pleased to announce that he has received a verbal commitment from two Belgrade, Montana players for the 2013-2014 season. Taylar Johnson and Taylor Hill both from Belgrade High School will graduate in 2013 and continue their education and softball careers at DCC.

Taylar Johnson, who will play middle infield for the Buccaneers, was a 2012 Montana class A first team All-Conference player for the 2012 state championship runner-up Panthers. Johnson hit .397 for the 2012 season and also played summer ball for the Belgrade Wolfpack. Coach LeProwse commented that Taylar is a very athletic, talented and versatile player she can play middle infield, and outfield if needed. She hits the ball well. Taylar comes from a great high school program and will be a great addition to our program.

Taylor Hill will join her high school teammate Taylar Johnson at DCC. Taylor will play catcher and outfield for the Buccaneers. Taylor, a 2012 Montana class A first team all-conference and first team all-state player, broke the Belgrade high school single season home run record in 2012. Coach LeProwse commented that Taylor will be a great addition to our program. She will bring some more power, speed and athleticism to the Buccaneer program.
