Head softball coach Jim LeProwse recently announced that sophomores Jenni Pehler and Allison Roper have signed letters of intent to play softball for Jamestown College. Jamestown, a four year NAIA college, competes in the Dakota Athletic Conference.
Registration is under way at Dawson Community College for Basketball Skills Camps and Volleyball Camps to be held on campus in Toepke Center.
The camps for boys and girls have an excellent staff and an affordable price. Coaches from the Dawson Community College Athletic programs as well as DCC players from the Buccaneer teams will instruct the participants.
Register by May 31. All proceeds go towards Men’s/Women’s Buccaneer Basketball

Celebration of Research and Creativity will be the theme for the DCC Music Department Spring performance Thursday, May 12. The evening will commence at 5 p.m. with a reception sponsored by the Opus Society, featuring student research projects encompassing a wide array of musical topics. The projects will be presented in poster presentation format and students will be available to discuss their research with guests.
Williston, ND - The Buccaneers baseball team battled back from a 10-3 deficit in the third inning to beat Williston St. (ND) on the road. It was not a night for pitching for either team, as both offenses combined for 29 hits and 36 runs in the game. After trailing early in the game the buccaneers took a 17 -14 lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning, only to see it disappear with a three run homerun, tying the game 17-17.
Bismarck, ND - The Buccaneers baseball team traveled to Bismarck St. (ND) for a conference doubleheader. The Buccaneers won game one 8-2 and finished off the two game series with a 5-2 win in the second game.
Williston, ND - The Buccaneer baseball team looked to get back on track this past weekend April, 23-24 against Williston St. (ND) after dropping two conference games last weekend. They lost to Williston St. (ND) 4-2 and Miles Community College (MT) 3-1 in the Mon-Dak Mid Season Tournament in Glendive, MT. The Buccaneers fell to (16-10) (5-3).
Glendive, MT - In game three, sophomore Tanner Newman (Bozeman, MT) was the starting pitcher. Newman had suffered the loss just a week earlier against Williston St. He allowed no runs on one hit thru six innings before the Tetons got to him in the seventh inning and scored three runs. They would eventually handing him the loss. This time around Newman made sure he went the distance. Newman pitched 7 innings, complete game, allowing three runs on two hits.
