September is "Talk like a Pirate Month" at Dawson Community College! Pirates around the globe are celebrating! Our mascot "Bucky the Buccaneer" has a fine crew of students this year and he invites the community to join them on Wednesday, September 19 at 6p.m. in Toepke Center - 300 College Drive - as they celebrate during a special Buccaneer Open House.

Josh Link from Hardin MT has traded in his baseball to finally realize his lifelong dream of becoming a professional bowler. Link with his memorable blue baseball glove pitched for the Dawson Community College Buccaneers during the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
He began bowling when he was just two years old. Now 24, he has made his debut on the Professional Bowlers Association Tour in San Jose, CA during the Labor Day weekend.
The Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) recognized Link after he posted league averages of 230+ over the past three years.
Emily O'Callaghan, Sophomore from Glanmire, Ireland, signed with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), a NCAA Division II school in Manchester, NH.
O'Callaghan will be moving 2,000 miles east of Dawson Community College in Glendive MT this year to play for the Penmen in Manchester, NH. SNHU is a NCAA Division II with a rich tradition of athletics and a student population of 7,300.
#34 Casey Grace, sophomore co-captain from Cork, Ireland, has signed to play Division I basketball with Fairfield University.
A forward, Casey Grace averaged 14 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals/game for the Lady Buccaneers last year. Casey was active in volunteering in the community helping coach the Lil Bucs 7th grade girls traveling basketball.
Dawson Community College in Glendive, Montana will hold a MPSEOC Fair Wednesday, September 12, from 1 to 2:30pm. Interested students can visit with John Dershem-Bruce, DCC Admissions Counselor at the fair in Toepke Center Gym.
#22 Christel Enriquez, a guard for the Dawson Community College Buccaneers, has signed to play basketball in Belleville, Illinois. Belleville is the eighth-most populated city outside of the Chicago Metropolitan Area and the most populated city south of Springfield in the state of Illinois with a population of over 44,000. This should be quite a change for Enriquez after playing for the Dawson Community College Buccaneers in Glendive Montana which has a population of around 6,500.
Montana Repertory Theatre's Educational Outreach Tour is proud to announce the opening of this year's Fall touring show - An Unladylike Battle for Survival in the Sunnyside Library. Directed by Montana Rep Educational Outreach Coordinator Teresa Waldorf, this two-person show stars Kristin Moriarty and Ryan Luwe in yet another hilarious comedy by Jay Kettering.
Adult Basic Education / GED Preparation Classes Adult Basic Education classes are held at Dawson Community College. ABE classes are designed to help adults improve their skills in Reading, Writing, and Math.
Dawson Community College "Gallery 126"is pleased to present "A Retrospective" with Dale Beckman. Beckman's oil and acrylic paintings, color ink drawings and giclee art prints will be on exhibit September 10 - October 26. Beckman's retrospective will be an array of artworks created over the course of his art career from sixth grade to the present with landscapes painted this summer.
