R&SVP volunteers are currently preparing tax returns for the 2009 Tax year. Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling the R&SVP office at 377-4716.

Members of the Dawson Community College FFA/ AG Club will show off their muscles by offering themselves up for auction at the 2010 GATE Banquet Saturday, February 13th to be held at the EPEC. Banquet social hour starts at 6pm and dinner at 7pm.

Available for bid, 3 teams of two Agriculture students each and one single Agriculture student. Each team or single student is donating 8 hours of labor to the winning bidder. The clubs goal is to raise funds for additional educational opportunities in agriculture on the Dawson Community College campus.

Financial aid professionals from around Montana will gather at 18 locations on Sunday, Jan. 31 and Wednesday, Feb. 3 to provide free, one-on-one assistance to students and families completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The FAFSA is the key to obtaining federal financial aid — and some state and institutional aid — to help pay for postsecondary education.

This year, the event will take place locally at Dawson Community College in room 147. Sessions take place at 1:00, 2:00, or 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 31.

Dawson Community College is enrolling students in Farm and Ranch Business Management and Agricultural Marketing and Financial Analysis. These programs are designed to serve those who are actively engaged in farming or ranching enterprises. The Farm and Ranch Business Management program focuses on computer, accounting and other business skills. Students will learn practical methods for using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to improve recording-keeping and decision support on their farms and ranches.
