The Opus Society is currently seeking contestants for Dawson Idol to be held May 4, 6 p.m. in the Dawson Community College Auditorium. In its fifth year, this event promises to present some of the best vocal talent in eastern Montana. Title of Dawson Idol will be determined by an average of audience and judge scores.
The Dawson Community College Art Department is proud to present the outstanding art works of the talented and creative student artists of Dawson Community College. Forty-one students will be exhibiting their artwork in the Dawson Community College 2013 Annual Spring Juried Student Art Show.
The Athletic Department at Dawson Community College has just confirmed DCC will host the NORTH PLAINS DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP (May 18-19, 2013) at Kolberg Field in Glendive Montana.
The NJCAA Regional winners from Region 9, Region 13, and Region 11 will have match up to see who will advance to the Division II World Series.

Dawson Community College is excited to announce the hiring of Gerry Standridge as Buccaneer volleyball coach. "His success developing players will be a great asset to our program" said Dean of Student Services, Joyce Ayre. "He has a strong love for the sport of volleyball and a competitive nature that fits DCC's athletic program."
Dawson Community College art students are getting creative in the great outdoors of Eastern Montana. Gretchen Bederman's Foundations of Art students fired their raku glazed self portrait masks Tuesday April 16 with Jordan Pehler and his traveling raku kiln. Pehler is the Education Director and artist-in-residence at the Miles City Waterworks Museum. See students' finished masks in the Annual Spring Student Art Show opening on Monday, April 22.
Celebration of Research and Creativity will be the theme for the Dawson Community College Music Department’s spring performance Friday, April 19. The evening will commence in at 5 pm in the Toepke Center lobby with a reception sponsored by the Opus Society highlighting student research projects.
Quincy Gundersen from Washington State and Haley Swan from Montana have decided to continue their softball careers at Dawson Community College in Glendive Montana. Head Softball Coach Jim LeProwse is pleased to announce the new Lady Bucs. They will join the DCC Buccaneer program for the 2013-2014 season.
Quincy Gundersen attends Burlington Edison High School in Bow, Washington. She is a right-handed outfielder for the Tigers who achieved 1st Team All Skagit County, 1st Team Northwest Conference.
