Dawson Community College Theatre Department presented “Over the River and through the Woods” Friday & Saturday, March 7 & 8. The play, directed by Ron Conrad, was funny, yet very touching.
The play was presented in the DCC Auditorium, performed by the following talented cast members: Kyle Quale, Suela Cela, Alissa O’Dea, Joy Magalsky, Manni Ratliff, and Nathan Weidner.

Lady Buccaneers finish regular season play with a 12-4 conference record and a 23-6 overall record. The three way tie between Western Wyoming and Casper led to a tie breaker and a coin flip putting Western Wyoming on the top spot and Casper in the #2 spot. The regional tourney will be held in Rock Springs, WY at Western Wyoming Community College, March 1-5, 2014. Dawson Lady Buccaneers will go into the tourney ranked #3 in the North Sub Region and start the tourney with Trinidad State Junior College on Sunday, March 2nd at 5pm.
Dawson Community College will be hosting their Spring View Day on March 3, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. This will be an exciting opportunity for high school students to experience a college class, learn about academic programs and student services, quiz a panel of current DCC students, meet with faculty, staff and/or coaches, connect with future students, have lunch at our college cafeteria, and enter for the 2014 TUITION DRAWING. The winner will be announced at the View Day luncheon reception. (Drawing applies for Fall and Spring tuition at the current in-state value)

Norwich University offers Dawson Community College graduates the ability to earn their Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice entirely online, in less than two years. Through an agreement with Dawson Community College, Norwich will apply at least 60 of your DCC credits toward your bachelor’s degree. Norwich is working hard to make sure tuition is affordable for our students. If you are active military, Norwich offers you a lower tuition rate of $250 per credit for the Norwich CJ program.
The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities oversees regional accreditation for 163 higher education institutions in the Northwest region of the United States. On August 1, 2012, the accreditation of Dawson Community College was reaffirmed by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Dawson Community College is seeking reaffirmation of accreditation in 2014 through the submission of a Year Seven Self Study and an on-site accreditation visit. The accreditation team will visit Dawson Community College on April 22-24, 2014.

The Dawson Community College Annual 2013 Fall Juried Student Art Show Reception and Awards Presentation, was held on Tuesday, December 10.
Art Lovers President Mike Simons, Biology instructor Jennifer Temple and Director of Finance Kathleen Zander took on the challenge of choosing the winners from over 100 works of art.
