Quincy Gundersen from Washington State and Haley Swan from Montana have decided to continue their softball careers at Dawson Community College in Glendive Montana. Head Softball Coach Jim LeProwse is pleased to announce the new Lady Bucs. They will join the DCC Buccaneer program for the 2013-2014 season.
Quincy Gundersen attends Burlington Edison High School in Bow, Washington. She is a right-handed outfielder for the Tigers who achieved 1st Team All Skagit County, 1st Team Northwest Conference.
Daughter of Jeff and Stacy Gundersen, Quincy is a "gifted academic who will bring a 3.9 GPA along with a strong arm at bat and agility to DCC's B.L. Baker Memorial Field" according to Coach LeProwse. Gundersen has a .463 batting average currently. "We can't wait to welcome her to campus".
Haley Swan attends Billings West High School in the Eastern AA. As a 5' 11, Golden Bear, Swan strikes an opposing figure with versatility in several positions including catcher, third base and first base.
"Haley is part of a great softball program at Billings West. She is right-handed and very strong in multiple positions" LeProwse related this week. "She can catch and play either corner position in the infield. Her home run power is awesome and will add another powerful bat to the DCC lineup for the 2013-2014 season. We are all happy Haley has chosen to continue her education and softball career at Dawson."
"These two players will be an exciting addition to and already talented Buccaneer 2013-2014 recruiting class."
