New Recruits: Ashtyn Aumueller and Kaylyn Delaney

Coach Tracey Clingingsmith is pleased to announce that Ashtyn Aumueller of Columbus, MT and Kaylyn Delaney of Grass Range, MT have signed letters of intent to play for the Dawson Community College Lady Buccaneers next season.
Ashtyn Aumueller is a 5’1’’ forward from Columbus, MT who has received First Team All Conference recognition her junior and senior years, All State her senior year, and Treasure State All Tournament team and team MVP.  Aumueller has also been awarded Academic All State and the Montana University System Honor Scholarship.  Coach Tracey states, “Ashtyn is an outstanding student athlete who makes everyone around her better. She is a natural leader and it was clear immediately that she is a perfect fit with our returning team members.”  Ashtyn averaged 9 points per game and 6 rebounds per game for Columbus High School her senior year.  Ashtyn’s parents are Rob and Pam Aumueller. 

 

Kaylyn Delaney is a 6’0’’ forward from Grassrange, MT who was received All State Honors in both her junior and senior years as all as First Team All Conference both years.  Kaylyn helped lead her team to the State Championship game this year placing second by just six points.  She was earned Academic All State her sophomore, junior, and senior years.  Kaylyn is majoring in Nursing at DCC.  “I’m honored to continue my basketball career at Dawson Community College while pursuing my career goals through their excellent education program,” states Kaylyn.  She finished her basketball year shooting 48% from the field and 70% at the free throw line.  Her team lost just two games this past year, both to Belt in the Divisional and State finals.  Coach Clingingsmith says, “Kaylyn is an very smart player who brings a ton of enthusiasm and competitive play to our team.”  Kaylyn’s parents are Troy and Gina Delaney.
