Jesse Gullion, a Sophomore first baseman, recently signed a letter of intent to continue his baseball career at Chowan University in Murfreesboro, NC. Gullion's hometown is Brigham City, UT. he batted .300 this past spring for the Dawson Community College Buccaneer baseball team.
"Jesse had a good year for us this past season. He improved a lot over the year and should be very successful at Chowan. I am excited for him to move on and played at the school I played at and coached for many years" added DCC Coach Aaron Carroll.
Of the 10,000+ student-athletes that suited up this year in the sport of baseball in Divisions I, II and III, only 126 earn NJCAA All-America honors.
June 7, 2012 Hunter Balmer from Brigham City, UT was named 2nd Team All-American in NJCAA baseball. Balmer, a Sophomore batted .426 this past season for the Dawson Community College Buccaneers in Glendive Montana.
The Oil Patch Preparation System (OPPS) is a 9-day program of specialized professional training that will include over 20 health and safety certifications (excluding the water survival). Each student will be Certified in Rigging also.
Training Session III
begins July 9 and goes through July 17 Session changed to July 15 - 24. Eligible participants will be housed on campus in apartment style facilities. Registration fee includes lodging, meals and personal protective equipment. The curriculum is accredited through SafeLandUSA.
Since 2007 Dawson Community College in Glendive, Montana has been providing much needed CDL training through a partnership with Sage Technical Services. Dean of Instructional Services Jackie Schultz stated “DCC has set a goal to develop and provide workforce training that focuses on curricular excellence, employee safety and student placement. DCC is pleased to announce truck driver training will be available in Glendive next month.
Start date of July 5th-Register by June 15. Registration is still open.
Ten women's teams competed this weekend; Ekalaka, Westby, Sidney, Wolf Point, Plentywood, Richey/Lambert, two teams from Glendive and two teams from Beach, ND. Teams played pool play Saturday competing in 3 games a piece.
For 2 years Head Coach Jim LeProwse has been at the helm of Dawson Community College softball. This year LeProwse brings home pride to Eastern Montana as the Lady Buccaneers show their muscle winning the Mon-Dak Conference with an 11-1 record. "There's no doubt that Dawson is on a roll" said LeProwse. "We will definitely be carrying this momentum into our next season."
Dawson Community College Head Coach John Marble will represent ALL DCC sports and academic programs as he travels to Butte (May 25) and Bozeman (May 26) next week.

McKay Hedin out of Logan, UT was named to the All MON-DAK Conference Team and the All Region 9 Team for the Dawson Community College Buccaneers. Hedin finished the season with a .318 batting average. He had 15 doubles and 20 RBI's.
Dawson Community College wrapped up their softball season this past weekend in La Junta Colorado. The Lady Buccaneers finished the regional tournament 1 and 3 with a 5th place finish in the NJCAA Region IX Division I tournament. The team completed the MonDak conference with an 11- 1 record and a first place finish. Their overall record was 20-19 for the season.
