All-Around Cowgirl, Meg Mulvena, picks Bucs

Meg Mulvena

Meg Mulvena has found a new home with the Dawson Community College Rodeo program for 2013-14. Daughter of Shawn & Sally Mulvena of Rockglen, Saskatchewan, Meg excels at Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping, Barrel Racing, and Team Roping.

"Meg is a decorated cowgirl who exemplifies what it truly means to be a champion." said DCC rodeo coach Kortney Diegel. 

Mulvena is a seasoned competitor with many accomplishments to her credit. In 2010 she was SHSRA All-Around Cowgirl, Goat Tying and Barrel Racing Champion and third overall in Breakaway Roping.  At the National High School Finals Rodeo, Meg was fourth overall in Goat Tying and Rookie Cowgirl. In 2011 she achieved SHSRA All-Around Cowgirl, Breakaway Roping Champion, Goat Tying Reserve Champion, 4th overall in Barrel Racing and 2012 SHSRA Breakaway Roping and Goat Tying Champion, 2012-2013 Cinch All-Star Team.

"I am thrilled that Meg chose to join the Buccaneer rodeo team, she will be a great addition to our program."
