Dawson Community College Buccaneers head baseball coach Aaron Carroll is pleased to announce the signing of five new Buccaneer recruits for the upcoming 2011-2012 season. Donning the black and red this semester will be Luis Rodriguez and Edwin Colon from Puerto Rico, Skyler Dietsche and Alex Lassle from Sheridan, WY and Joe Schafman from Yuma, AR.
Two teams of middle school math students and two individual students will move on to compete in Bozeman March 8th at the state competition, after impressive performances in the district tournament held at Dawson Community College on February 7th.

The MATHCOUNTS® competition is coming to Dawson Community College again on February 7th from 9am to 3pm. DCC will host about 34 middle school students from 6 different schools: Wolf Point, Frontier, Lustre, Lambert, Terry, Glasgow,and Glendive. The competition will be held in the campus activity gym on the DCC campus.
For the past 10 years, Rod Paschke has been the head coach at Dawson Community College and is currently serving his second year as the Big Sky Faculty Director.
The Dawson Community College admissions department is hosting a campus view day February 13, 2012. All high school seniors, juniors, and parents of prospective students are invited to join us on-campus in Glendive to experience a day in the life of a DCC student. From 8:30 - 2:00, all visiting students will have the opportunity to experience a college class, learn about academic programs and student services, quiz a panel of current DCC students, meet instructors or coaches, connect with other future students, and receive a full tour of the newly expanded DCC campus.
Dawson Community College will kick off homecoming weekend Friday, January 20th from 6pm-midnight with a community wide event. Produced by Cutting Edge Productions and sponsored by the Dawson Community College Associated Student Body the Mega Shows Ultimate Blowout Event is an outrageous FREE night of fun is for anyone 15 years or older.

Dawson Community College "Gallery 126" opens the Spring semester with an Artists Reception on Saturday, January 21 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The new exhibit "Blast From the Past" features the artwork of alumnae Lacey Winderl Lee, Caroline Greiman, and Emily Fitterman, and alumnus Bobby Cisco. Come meet the artists and experience their artwork. Everybody is invited.
DCC Registrar Virginia Berube has released the names of students who have earned a place on the Dean's List during the fall semester of 2011. These students distinguished themselves academically by attaining a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. The Dawson Community College faculty wishes to extend congratulations to students as they strive toward elevated academic excellence.
