Dawson Community College students will be looking for apartments and houses to rent off campus this fall. DCC’s population is growing and even with the remodel of Kettner, Gibson, and Brueberg Halls to increase their capacity there will still be a need for additional off campus student housing.
The college will be compiling a list of interested landlords as a resource for students returning to college this fall. The list is free, an easy way to support the college and advertise your property to both in and out of town students and their parents.
The Dawson College Foundation is pleased to announce the endowment of the James D. Schultz Memorial Endowed Scholarship fund. The scholarship was established by family and friends in memory of James (Jim) Schultz to provide financial assistance to Dawson Community College students pursuing a secondary school teaching career, preferably in English or a related field.
The Dawson Community College women's volleyball team has received the 2010 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, it was announced recently.
"This list recognizes those student athletes that have succeeded in the classroom" said DCC's Lady Bucs Coach John Marble. "Only a small percentage of students achieve this academic excellence". DCC had a team GPA of 3.54. The AVCA award follows their NJCAA honor as national runner up for Academic team of the year out of 300 plus schools.
