Today with a population of just over 10,000 Carbon County has become a tourist destination. Strategically located at the base of the Beartooth Mountains, Carbon County visitors are treated to spectacular vistas visible from the Beartooth Highway located within the Custer National Forest, and extending south from Red Lodge to the northeast entrance of Yellowstone Park. Carbon County is host to a diverse population and Carbon County aims to make sure that governmental and economic decisions represent the best interests of its citizenry.

The member will prepare information to educate citizen participants about the process, conduct outreach to increase citizen participation, gather citizen input, and aid in strategic planning to assure that all the voices of Carbon County are part of the economic development plan.
