The DCC Early Childhood Education Department is sponsoring three workshops. All the workshops are open to the public and available for Early Childhood training hours. All the workshops will be held in the Ullman Center, Room 105.
February 18, 6:30-9:00 p.m.-- To bond or not to bond . . . . How important is it to develop trust? Know any charming, manipulating liars? Debi Delameter from Action for Eastern Montana will give a presentation on Reactive Attachment Disorder.
February 23, 6:30-8:30 p.m. – Timber Dempewolf, Dawson County Health Department, will give a presentation on Safe Sleep for Infants. She will talk about the best ways for babies to sleep and touch on the subject of “tummy time.” She will also cover ways to decrease the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
March 5, 7:00-9:00 -- Balancing and directing children’s different behaviors can be challenging. Essential Discipline Skills, presented by Pete Bruno, Director of the Glendive Parent Resource Center, will teach all of the skills from Love and Logic and Active Parenting that can be successfully applied in day care, Head Start, and pre-school. Following a brief summary of four early development stages, eleven specific child management skills will be taught.
