Dawson Community College has signed its eighth player for the fall volleyball season with training camp just two weeks away.
Roundup High School graduate Ashley Eslinger has committed to play for the Lady Bucs.
"I'm excited that Ashley is joining the Buccaneer program," said Coach John Marble.
"It's great to have another MT kid playing ball for us." Standing at 5'5", Eslinger will roster as an outside hitter and defensive specialist for the Bucs.
She was an all-conference player in high school and earned academic all state honors for two years.
Also, she has played as a libero for the People to People Ambassador program and at Montana¹s Big Sky State Games.
"Ashley is very athletic and dynamic and will be a great addition to our roster," Marble said.
Eslinger, who graduated high school in 2008, has spent the last year working and coaching the Lady Panther C-Squad volleyball team and started looking at Dawson upon the recommendation of her high school coach, Bryan Krone.
"I'm really excited to be going to school and playing volleyball again," she said.
"Coach Krone has said good things about (Coach Marble), and I look forward to playing for him." Eslinger joins the Bucs' list of new recruits, including Amanda Krone of Cascade, Amanda Little of Billings, Alyson Murnion of Jordan, Kirby Sabec of Hardin and Myriam Lebied-Julien of Riom, France.
Returning Sophomores are Terah Lund of Huntley and Amanda Shadbolt of Saskatchewan, Canada.
Players report to fall training the first weekend in August.
The team competes in the Mon-Dak conference as well as Region IX of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
