
Area vocalists are gearing up for the third year of eastern Montana’s very own, Dawson Idol, to be held April 9 on the Dawson Community College campus. Presented by the DCC Music Department and Opus Society, contestants will compete to advance to the second round of judging April 23 and a hopeful title through audience and judge voting.
DCC alumni returning to judge the first round will be Yvette Schmaus Schuman, Dickinson; Robyn Mrachek Heck, Sidney; Robert Unterseher and Ty Helmuth, Glendive. Current students Trisha Loewen, Glasgow and Jennifer Oliphant, Red Lodge will serve as hosts for the evening.
The excitement begins at 7 p.m. with anticipated participants Chantell Bury, Craig Christianson, Charlie Denison, Stephanie Huschka, Amy Lee, Ryan Samuelson, and Angela Schneider, Glendive; Dylan Whiting, Dillon; Caroline Kunst, Forsyth; Janelle Sheeran, Kalispell; Alyson Coyko, Savage; Audree Garsjo and Katie Gorman, Nashua; Mandy Fulton, Beach; and Myriam Lebied-Julien Myriam, France.
Also performing will be DCC vocal and instrumental ensembles.
