A work group has been formed at Dawson Community College to address the need for DCC to develop a new strategic plan, one consistent with organizational objectives and relevant to its current operational context and environment.
The group was initially formed to review the College’s current strategic plan and to develop clear expectations, indicators, and guides for improvement to move the institution forward. This was done to meet revised NWCCU accreditation standards, which called upon DCC to examine institutional purpose, intentions, quality, effectiveness and plans for continued improvement.
As valuable stakeholders of the College, community members are encouraged to provide feedback to the college during this process through participation in an analysis of DCC’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. With proper feedback, this analysis will help DCC find the best fit between its organizational mission and strategy, internal capacities and external realities.
Anyone interested in participating in the analysis is encouraged to do so. Multiple options are available for those who wish to provide feedback. The most convenient way to respond is by accessing, completing, and submitting the form available online. The questionnaire is just five questions long. For those who would rather complete a printed survey, forms are available from the DCC business office or can be mailed to you by request. All participants are encouraged to submit their responses by the Friday, April 30th deadline. For questions regarding this analysis or DCC’s strategic planning process, please contact Matt Hull in the DCC Admissions Department.
