Dawson Community College Buccaneers baseball coach Brent Diegel is pleased to announce that Austin Sheppick has signed a national letter of intent for the upcoming 2010-2011 season. From West Jordan, Utah, Sheppick stands 6-5 and weighs in at 185 pounds. This season, Sheppick pitched and played first base for the Grizzlies of Copper Hills High School. The lefty batted .381 and posted an OBP of .465, logging 7 extra base hits, scoring nine times and driving in 10 runs in just 42 at bats. According to Coach Diegel, “Austin will bring balance to the lineup by adding a strong bat from the left side of the plate. We’re excited to have him join us this season.”
