The Commissioner of Higher Education, Sheila Stearns, will be conducting a series of community listening sessions across the state over the next few weeks. Sixteen communities have been chosen to host the interactive events were the Commissioner will be joined by various members of the Board of Regents. The sessions are designed to allow individuals to voice concerns about the higher education system and to offer suggestions for its improvement. The Commissioner will make brief remarks about dual enrollment, transferability, pricing, availability and affordability of post secondary programs. The Montana University System is putting increased emphasis on making programs available to more Montanans and to increase the number of Montanans completing certificates and degrees through a Lumina Education Foundation Initiative entitled COLLEGE!NOW.
The session in Glendive will be held at 3pm on September 28th at the Ullman Center on the Dawson Community College campus in room 102. Everyone is invited to attend and participate.
