Dawson Community College and Bismarck State College will meet on the volleyball court in Mon-Dak Conference play at Toepke Center, dedicating the night to Dig Pink October 5th at 7:00pm.
Dig Pink is the name of the breast cancer awareness rally that takes place in gyms all over the country during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is October.
"We are excited to play Bismarck State again in this fun event," said DCC volleyball Coach John Marble. “Last month the Bucs defeated Bismarck in a 5 set battle and it’s bound to be an exciting re-match”.
“This match will have an impact on conference standings" Marble went on to say. "The team is playing well and will be ready to sweep BSC. You won’t want to miss this one!"
The DCC’s Lady Bucs will play hard in honor of survivors and those whom have passed away from cancer. Fans that arrive decked out in pink will get in FREE to the match.
The Buccaneers, in their third season, are 10-16 on the year with 10 matches left to play. They will play Casper October 9th in Wyoming and then move on to action against Williston State College at Williston October 14th. Their next home match of the season, after Bismarck on Oct 5th, is Oct. 16 when they meet up with Northwest College at 3 p.m. for “Sophomore Night” in Toepke Center.
