The first day of the Region IX Tournament showcased the talent of the region's teams with some exciting volleyball matches. Western Wyoming showed why they are ranked second in the nation, but winning the Region IX Tournament will be no easy task with Casper, LCCC, and Central Wyoming also looking very strong in their first matches. The results of the first day are:
WWCC defeats Dawson 25-7, 25-13, 25-19
Casper defeats EWC 25-23, 25-20, 25-19
Central WY defeats Sheridan 25-19, 25-17, 25-18
LCCC defeats NWC 25-19, 25-10, 27-25
Thursday schedule
2 pm DCC vs Eastern Wyoming College
4 pm Sheridan College vs Northwest College
6 pm Western Wyoming College vs Casper
8 pm Central Wyoming College vs Laramie County Community College
